V Rising received an Invaders of Oakveil update last week. If you decide to go back to the title (or start it for the first time), you will find many novelties like new types of enemies, weapon coating or artifacts during the gameplay. However, probably for many the biggest attraction is seven new bosses. One of them, Dantos the Forgebinder, is particularly hard to defeat. So, how to do this?

How to defeat Dantos the Forgebinder in V Rising?

Dantos the Forgebinder is one of the hardest bosses to defeat in V Rising. You have to be extremely careful during this fight. Rushing won't help you in this case. He wants to fight you hand-to-hand. However, confronting him in a close encounter could end badly for you; so, pick spells and keep your distance. Don’t attack him at all costs. Instead, try avoiding his attacks.

  1. When he stands in the middle of the arena, he emits a shock wave, which causes an “earthquake“. To avoid it, you must hide behind cauldrons. Change sides of your cover, to avoid bounced waves.
  2. However, if cauldrons are burning, you can’t stand close to them. In other case you will receive substantial damage. If you see that one of them is activated near you, you should dash away from this place as quickly as possible.
  3. When Dantos’ HP is low, his “earthquake ability” evolves and he can attack in all directions at the same time. However, you can still avoid it. Look at the arrows coming from his position. While orange waves turn behind the cover, blue ones do not do that. So, try to position yourself behind cauldrons that are on the path of blue “earthquakes”.

Grab the weapon (preferably with a bonus to movement speed and magic) and start spamming spells. Using powers that deal damage from the distance allows you to minimize the chances of receiving a hit. Kite the enemy around the arena. However, when the boss is standing in the middle of the area, sending shock waves, you should use abilities allowing you to easily attack from behind cauldrons, like Death Knight.

Of course, when you defeat him, you will get valuable rewards: Crystal Lance, Arctic Storm, Frost Barrier and Ember Glass. However, the most interesting thing is Fusion Forge. It allows you to create stronger versions of Ancestral Weapons or Jewels. So, it opens the door to some powerful items.
