A recent interview with Todd Howard reveals that he is an Indiana Jones fan and has been trying to make a game with the famous archaeologist for many years.
In a nutshell:
The beginning of the year brought us the resurrection of Lucasfilm Games and along with it an announcement of a new Indiana Jones game. Machine Games (creators of the latest games from the Wolfenstein series) is responsible for it, while Todd Howard is the executive producer. It turns out that the man who is the face of Bethesda is also an ardent fan of the adventurous archaeologist and has been trying to get the rights to make the game for years.
In a recent interview with The Telegraph Howard says that he tried to get the rights to create a game with Indiana Jones as early as 2009.However, to no avail. Only Disney gave him the green light. Moreover, Bethesda's executive producer believes that Machine Games is "the best team in the world" to do this project; he also adds that he is excited about how the game is developing. However, he doesn't give away many details and stresses that more information awaits us in the future.
Howard has been trying for over 10 years to create an Indiana Jones game. We will certainly have to wait a bit shorter for more details connected with the production. For now, fans are left with nothing but speculation. It should be emphasized, however, that thanks to the trailer we have already learned a little about the title.
