Unravel meets Limbo in creepy platformer Little Nightmares – watch gamescom trailer

Ready to revisit your childhood fears? Meet Little Nightmares, a combination of Unravel-like mechanics and creepy story resembling Limbo.

At gamescome 2016 Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed a playable demo of Little Nightmares (previously known as Hunger), a creepy, physics-based 3D platformer by Tarsier Studios. While its mechanics kind of resemble Unravel, the overall mood of the game is more reminiscent of Limbo. As for the story, the team is building upon our childhood fears. This eerie tale invites us into a huge submarine, where a little hero called Six is trying to run for her life, evading corrupted, ever-hungry monsters. Watch the new gamescom trailer to get the gist:

Ok, that was unsettling. Little Nightmares makes a good use of its unique shadow-filled art style and vivid sounds to evoke a real chill down the player’s spine, whereas gameplay mechanics combine high-quality 3D environments with classic platformer elements and physics-based puzzles.
