Here's Warcraft 3: Reforged if Blizzard Had Done a Proper Job

Youtuber by the handle AXCEL prepared a demonstration of Warcraft 3: Reforged powered by an early version of Unreal Engine 5. The result, although the project is modest in scope, looks great.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. A fan-made Warcraft 3: Reforged project powered by Unreal Engine 5 shows what the visual layer of the game could have looked like.

The last time we wrote about the development of Warcraft 3: Reforged was almost a year ago. Despite the lack of many previously promised features, the team at Blizzard has been silent for months and has not released any major updates. There is also little evidence that this situation is about to change.

So still the remaster of the third Warcraft remains a thorn in the side of fans of the franchise. What the project could have looked like, at least on the visual layer, was shown by youtuber AXCEL, who, using an early version of Unreal Engine 5, decided to recreate the original Warcraft 3.

The way the project is presented raises a lot of objections, but still we can see that an amateur is able to create something visually much better than what Blizzard has prepared. Although, when we get acquainted with the history of the title, we should not be surprised by the final result.

In the video's description the author noted that he is currently thinking about how to refresh the interface. The whole thing will be compiled and perhaps shared when the work on the scene, which is associated with the moment presented in the material, is completed.
