Isometric RPG Warhammer 40K Now in Beta; New Gameplay Trailer
Beta testing of the RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader starts today. On this occasion, a new gameplay trailer for the game has hit the web.
Beta of isometric RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader launches today. The tests are available only to those who pre-ordered the game on its official website.
Choices in Rogue Trader matter
In connection with the start of the beta, the YouTube channel of Owlcat Games published a new trailer for Rogue Trader, presenting some gameplay footage. You can watch the video below.
The trailer suggests that the decisions made by the player will be of great importance for how a given mission will turn out. Thus, for example, by revealing one's identity in the task with the funeral of "someone important," we will be able to discover the character's dark secret and complete the adventure in a pacifistic manner. There is also the option of passing yourself off as one of the guests, but in that case there will be bloodshed.
Each choice is supposed to have its consequences (so-called Convictions). Depending on the decisions we make, our character will collect points toward imperialist, benefactor or heretic.
What does the beta offer?
The beta testing of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will offer the prologue and the first three acts of the game. In the clashes in the dark city of Commorragh, we will be helped by Ulfar, the powerful Adeptus Astartes. In addition, the beta will allow for, among other things, the creation of your own character and placement of characters in the arena before the start of battle - the full list of changes from the alpha version of the game can be found here.
We do not know when exactly Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will debut. The game is expected to appear exclusively on PC for now.
Owlcat Games is a Russian studio. The company was originally founded in Moscow, and moved most of its operations to Cyprus in 2022.
