Warhammer 40K: Darktide: Plasteel and Diamantine Explained

If you are curious about what Plasteel and Diamantine is, where to find it and how to use it, then read this article. It will answer these questions.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide continues to evolve and the game is being expanded with new elements. One of these is crafting. You can upgrade your equipment, but it is not free. In this article, we will talk about Plasteel and Diamantine.

Remember that Warhammer 40K: Darktide is pre-order beta game, so the information provided here may become outdated over time.

What Plasteel and Diamantine are and what they are needed for

Plasteel and Diamantine are raw materials added with the introduction of crafting elements to Darktide. For now, you can upgrade the tier of your items. The higher it is, the more resources you will need. You can do this in the Shrine of the Omnissiah, which is looked after by Hadron Omega-7-7 and can be found opposite the Psykhanium (the virtual test arena).

Keep in mind that Plasteel is more common, to get Diamantine you will have to work harder.

Where to get Plasteel and Diamantine

In order to obtain these raw materials, you have to go on missions. During them, you will have to search every part of terrain. In various containers you will find the resources you need. It is worth noting that the higher the difficulty level, the more materials you will find. Farming Diamantine starts to pay off at difficulty 3 (even at difficulty 2, the amount of Diamantine you can get is quite small compared to what you need). Remember – the more challenging the game, the better the rewards.
