A new release date was announced at The Game Awards for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. The game will debut on September 9, 2023. A short new trailer was also shown.

Original post (November 22, 2023)

We have bad news for players looking forward to the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, a TPP action game and a follow up to the 2011 Warhammer 40K game.

  1. Publisher of the project, Focus Home Interactive announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will suffer a major delay - the game will not be released until the second half of next year.
  2. This is a massive delay. After all, the release was originally planned for this year. The developers did not provide a specific date, so given that there are only a few dozen days left until the end of 2023, everyone expected a delay. What's surprising is how big it is.
  3. Focus Home Interactive also announced that it will announce a more precise release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II in early December.
  4. The delay is motivated by a desire to better polish the game and ensure that it meets the expectations of players waiting for it. There are quite a few of those, after all - so far Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II has been added to wish lists of more than a million people on various services and platforms.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is headed for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Relic Entertainment, the studio known from the original, is not responsible for the sequel. They have been replaced on the developer's position by Saber Interactive, which can boast such productions as World War Z or SnowRunner.
