In this guide we will tell you what to do with human remains in Wartails. The answer may surprise you.

Wartales is a well-liked game that combines turn-based strategy and RPG elements. In the title, players assume the role of a captain of a mercenary group and travel from town to town. With numerous mechanics, some fans may find certain aspects of this prduction, such as human remains, a bit confusing. In this guide, we will talk about them.

Human remains in Wartales

Short answer

The short answer is that human remains in Wartales are useless, and you should not pick them up. Leave them in peace. The game itself gives you a hint about this because corpses are not gathered automatically. You have to move them to your inventory yourself.

Long answer

You can eat corpses in Wartales. To do that you need to buy the Cannibalism perk for knowledge points in the Compendium. However, they are very poor source of food, as they only provide 1 unit. What is more, you can’t cook them, so it is impossible to make them more nutritious.

They are also very heavy, as each human remain weighs 10 kilos! At the beginning of the game your party will have more or less 80 capacity.

  1. To sum up: they are heavy, not nutritious and you can spend this knowledge point on something useful.
  2. Trivia: you can also eat corpses of your fallen comrades.

The only reason to consume bodies may be for role playing. You can be a bandit, who eats corpses. You will definitely be feared by the whole country. However, it is useless as a mechanic and a waste of points.
