We Happy Few available in Steam Early Access

We Happy Few, a dystopian action-adventure/survival from the creators of Contrast, is now available in Steam Early Access. Before the release the game is being sold at a reduced price.

We Happy Few has entered Steam Early Access, where it is going to stay for 6-12 months. The Early Access version is mostly complete, but it doesn’t yet have all of the planned contents and story elements. This means that you can fight, conform, hide, and move around 3 out of 5 islands that will be available in the final version, but there are no narrative areas, gameplay or cut-scenes that make up the story. The current version of the game is available on Steam for $29.99. Note that the price is going to increase after the full release. By the way, here’s a new gameplay trailer:

We Happy Few is an intriguing dystopian FPP adventure game by indie studio Compusion Games, the creators of highly-acclaimed Contrast. The story is set in a fictional city of Wellington Wells, which is a retro-futuristic version of the UK’s 60s. Its residents seem to be in a state of perpetual happiness. This, however, is simply a result of a brainwashing drug called Joy. What is even worse, all deviations from the joyful majority are mercilessly hunted down. You will play as a man who decides to break out from the illusion and escape the sinister city. While being an action adventure at its core We Happy Few features some elements of survival – the protagonist has to eat and drink, treat injuries, etc.
