No Man's Sky delayed on PC, coming out on August 12

No Man's Sky PC is going to come out three days after the PlayStation 4 edition in North America - on August 12. The delay has been confirmed on the official website.

No Man’s Sky is going to arrive to PC three days later than expected, on August 12, 2016. Such date appears on the game’s official website, although Steam still shows August 10. Previously, it was said that the sci-fi exploration sandbox from Hello Games would hit all platforms simultaneously, and no explanation was given as to why the plan was changed. Fortunately, three days don’t make that much of a difference. No Man’s Sky is going to launch on PlayStation 4 on August 9 in North America and on August 10 in Europe.

By the way, it turns out that PS4 players will not need PlayStation Plus in order to enjoy the game’s online features, Sony told Game Informer. The developer says it’s because the game is really a single player experience. Since its world is so large, any encounters with other players will be extremely rare.

No Man’s Sky is a game mainly about exploration. It is set in a colossal, procedurally-generated open-world space. Players can travel to any star and land on any planet, where they can meet strange animals and new environments.
