Netflix was supposed to start 2024 with big news – Black Sails TV series from Starz Originals was scheduled to appear on the platform on January 1. The platform's production card showed this release date for some time, but the Tv show didn’t ultimately debut on Netflix on that day.

It isn’t known what was behind the change of plans, but the January 1 premiere has been abandoned. Nonetheless, the series itself hasn’t been completely abandoned, which, as it turns out, will hit the platform a few months later. Black Sails will be available on Netflix from April 17, 2024. At that time, 4 seasons of the popular series will be added to the library, which will simultaneously continue to be available on the Starz streaming service.

This is a pirate TV show that focuses on the stories of Captain Flint. He is said to be the most brilliant and most feared pirate. The plot of the series begins in 1715, when the British want to reclaim their former colony, New Providence. And the pirates, led by Captain Flint, are fighting for survival not only against the invaders, but also among themselves.

The title has won 3 Emmy Awards and got even more nominations, so it is a highly regarded production, starring Toby Stephens, Hannah New, Luke Arnold, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Tom Hopper, Zach McGowan and Clara Paget, among others.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a whopping 81% positive rating from reviewers and 83 from viewers, which only speaks to the quality of this production, which will be worth watching on Netflix.
