Will Deadzone Rogue be available on Xbox, PS5 or Switch? Console release explained

Deadzone Rogue is an FPS roguelite where you battle through hordes of enemies, loot gear, and tweak your loadouts every run, either solo or with friends in co-op mode. It just hit Early Access on Steam a few days ago and has already picked up a solid player base. Now, everyone’s curious will this be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Switch consoles.

There hasn’t been any official word from the devs at Prophecy Games about Deadzone Rogue coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox, or Switch just yet. The game is still in its Early Access phase, so it’s possible they might wait until the full launch before considering a console release. However, Deadzone Rogue already has full Xbox controller support, so this could be the first step toward porting the game to consoles.

This isn’t the first time Prophecy Games has launched a title. In 2024, they released Tribe 3: Rivals, but it remained exclusive to Steam and never left Early Access, likely due to a small player count. However, with Deadzone Rogue pulling in solid numbers and gaining positive reviews, there’s a good chance the devs might look into expanding to reach a wider audience beyond just PC. It’s not uncommon for developers to shift focus and consider consoles when a game gains significant popularity, so we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold.

Prophecy Games is also working on another game, Ultra Strikers, with no official release date yet. However, you can request access to the playtest through Steam.
