Will Smith to Star in New Thriller From Creator of John Wick

Will Smith and David Leitch will create a new action movie about a man who tries to regain his memory by recalling details from his turbulent life.

Deadline reports that a new blockbuster thriller is in the works, and some pretty big names are going to be involved. The biggest studios in the world are to be take part in the production process, including Warner Bros., Sony, MGM Paramount, and several streaming giants (though we don't know exactly which ones yet). The title is Fast & Loose and we even know its director and main star.

The director's seat will be taken by David Leitch, a man who knows what high-budget action cinema is all about. He directed the first part of John Wick, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious presents Hobbs & Shaw. If you have seen at least one of the aforementioned films, you understand that we are dealing with a true professional who is not afraid to use bold style.

What will David Leitch come up with this time?

The main role in Fast & Loose will be played by Will Smith who certainly needs no introduction. The only thing that might be puzzling are his actions in the recent years, as they look rather poor in comparison to his earlier filmography. Admittedly, he played Genie in the live-action Aladdin, as well as returned to the role of Mike in another installment of the Bad Boys series, but there's no denying that those movie are not particularly outstanding in their genre.

The very idea behind the movie looks quite nice. The story will focus on John Riley, a man who has completely lost his memory. Over time, however, he begins to recall details of his life and comes to the conclusion that he led a rather strange life - on the one hand, he was an influential criminal, wallowing in luxury, and on the other, an undercover CIA agent with no family and no home. Which of these identities was his real self? You will have to find out yourself.

The movie's release date is unknown.
