Zack Snyder is Tired of Superheroes Too

Recent years in cinematography have been dictated by superhero movies and TV shows. At some point the accumulation became so great that audiences eventually began to feel their excess. This, in turn, was reflected in increasingly poor viewing figures and low ratings for recent projects from under the MCU and DC banner. The fatigue with superhero productions has also been experienced by Zack Snyder, who himself has more than one comic book adaptation to his credit.

The filmmaker recently gave an interview to The Atlantic, in which he revealed that he does not seek to create more superhero movies. In his opinion, original stories are of greater value.

Although Snyder does not intend to ask for the opportunity to make another movie for DC, he recently argued that he is willing to accept an offer to direct a superhero show for Marvel. However, the filmmaker stressed that the possible project would have to be about either Daredevil and Elektra.

Recall that a few days ago Netflix saw the debut of another of Snyder's superproductions - Rebel Moon: Part 1 - A Child of Fire. The sci-fi spectacle is quite popular on the service, which, unfortunately, does not translate into positive reception. At the time of writing this post, the title is being criticized on Rotten Tomatoes both by critics (only 24% of all reviews are positive reviews) and viewers (only 64% of the evaluators praise the movie).
