Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: Getting stuck in the environment - bug

This page of the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart game guide explains what to do if the controlled character gets stuck in the environment as a result of a bug. Such bugs, in extreme cases, may make it impossible to continue the game.

Problems with getting stuck in the game can manifest in different variations. For example, your character may be held down by an object or fall into a hole with no way out.

You can also have a problem with finding yourself in a location from which there is no exit. In the example from the above picture, such a place might be one of the areas on Sargasso. You can get stuck in this place if you get to the island surrounded by water and lose access to Speetle.

If you still can move, you can try solving the problem of being stuck by jumping into an abyss or deep water. The death of a character should (though not necessarily) lead to a respawn in a place where you can continue the game.

If all other methods have failed, pause the game and choose to restart the checkpoint. The game should load at the last checkpoint - it can be the entrance to a location or a place where you met NPC. That way, you should be able to move forward.
