Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: Point of no return - is there one?
On this page of the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart guide, you will learn whether the game has a Point of No Return. We explain if you can continue playing after finishing the main storyline, do you need to take care of all the optional stuff before starting the final battles, and if there is an endgame phase.
The page contains only minor spoilers on when the final fight starts. We won't spoil the final boss. This information can be found on, e.g. the Final boss page.

The game has a point of no return - it is the third visit to the Gastropub in Scarstu Debris Field during the story (you can also visit the Gastropub whenever you want, for example, to fight in the arena).
You will be given a mission objective to meet Captain Quantum at the Gastropub.

After approaching Captain Quantum, the game will ask you if you want to start the finale. Once you confirm that you want to start the final battle, you will automatically be transferred to a new location (without having to return to the spaceship).

After you defeat the final boss, you will be able to return to Zurkie's bar - you will go back to the state from before the finale. This way you will be able to do any extra activities you missed. This means that you do not have to complete the planets in 100% before the final battle. There will be time for this in the "endgame phase".
Also, after finishing the main story, you can start a new game in Challenge Mode, which offers a higher difficulty level. However, this new playthrough is saved on the new slot and will not erase your old progress.

Additional information - The game also allows you to leave the finale after you have started it. You can select the appropriate option from the pause menu. This is a good idea if you feel that you have not prepared sufficiently for the final opponents.
