Sniper Elite 3 Afrika: Acquiring experience points

In the Sniper Elite III: Afrika you can acquire experience points. The actual amount of points you've managed to gather is displayed on the progress bar (which can be seen on the above screenshot). Filling the bar is the equivalent of advancing to the higher military rank, awarding you with an unlock to new types of equipment (a new type of mines, or a better sniper rifle, for instance).

You can earn experience points for:

• completing specific mission goals
• eliminating enemies - you can earn more experience points, if you, for instance, decide for a stealthy takedown, hit the enemy in the head, or if you mark him beforehand
• destroying enemy vehicles - the most points can be earned by destroying enemy tanks
• completing main mission goals - the amount of experience points you can earn this way depends on the difficulty level on which the specific mission was completed
• collecting secrets and completing challenges
• finding equipment upgrades on the bodies of killed enemies.
