The Ascent: Experience - how to earn?

Leveling up in The Ascent happens after gaining enough experience points. New levels allow you to improve skills. Therefore, you should know how to gain experience fast - the two best ways are described on this page.

Defeating enemies

Each defeated opponent provides a certain amount of experience - the higher the enemy's level, the more experience you get for killing them. Thanks to this, experience is gained naturally during exploration. Remember that the enemeis respawn - this may prove useful to you. The death of the player's character is not punished by a loss of experience points. After death, enemies are reset and will often reappear in a given location. Thus, intentional dying can be a way for the so-called experience farming. Simply defeat some of the enemies in a given place, and then let the others kill you. After respawning at the checkpoint, the opponents will be reset - you can gain experience from them again.

Completing missions

You get a lot of experience points for completing missions - especially the main quests. Completing one main quest will often result in gaining one or two levels. When you start playing The Ascent, focus on doing several main missions to make your character a little bit more powerful. Of course, side quests are equally effective - they also provide quite a lot of XP.
