The Ascent: Fast travel - is it in the game?

You can't just click on the map and get teleported in The Ascent. However, this doesn't mean the game has no fast travel system. On this page of the guide, you will learn how the fast travel system works and how to use it. We show you how to use the metro and taxi.

Metro

To use the metro/subway, you have to find "M" markers on the map. The subway stations are scattered in different places of the game world. Go to a place like this and wait for the oncoming train.

When the train arrives, press the interact button. This will open a window where you will select the station you want to arrive at. After a short cut-scene from inside the train, the hero will arrive. It is worth adding that using the metro is free.

Taxi

The second way to travel quickly is to use a taxi. You can use the taxi anywhere on the map (unless there are enemies around), but one trip costs 1000 credits. In addition, you can only move to locations that you have previously visited. Use the following buttons to call a taxi:
