The Ascent: Melee attacks - are they available?

In The Ascent, you can use a variety of rifles, shotguns or handguns. Some enemies, however, use melee weapons against the player, for example, katanas. On this page of the guide, you will learn whether you can use melee weapons in this game and fight at close range.

Is it possible to fight with melee weapons?

The answer is short - the player character cannot use melee weapons. you can only use different types of long-range weapons. Of course, some weapons allow for close-combat - shotguns are the best for it. Additionally, some Augmentations are used in close contac, too. An example of this is Hydraulic Slam which has a small range of attack and forces you to get close to enemies.
