You will find the Baron near the road, north of the camp (M31,5). He will ask you to put some herbs in four places on the map (M31,[5a,5b,5c,5d] to repel wild animals.

The herbs in the right place.

You don't need to fight the monsters near that places where the herbs should be placed. Just hang the plants and return to the quest giver.
