Dying Light The Following: How to open mysterious boxes?

Mysterious Boxes are locked containers that you can find when exploring the game world. You can see one in the screenshot above. The boxes often hide valuable treasures like for example Blueprints, new Paint Jobs for your Buggy or new outfits.

Crane cannot use lockpicks to open Mysterious Boxes. To access them, you will need a Hacking Tool. You can obtain it at the end of the Rocket Waggoon quest. The task consists in delivering the items needed to construct a rocket wagon to Tolga and Fatin. Wait until the brothers conduct their experiment and stand where the wagon was before. The Hacking Tool can be found on a wooden table. The exact location is shown in the screenshots above. It is the area near the entrance to the tunnel, in the southern part of the map.

Note - if you didn't take the Hacking Tool right after completing the Rocket Waggoon quest, you can return to this place later in the game. You will find it on the same table.
