Races are all about reaching checkpoints

The Following gives you a chance to take part in various new challenges. The most important ones are activated thanks to finding posters in the game world (similarly to the original game) and interacting with them - you will run into them for the first time while completing Burning Rubber side quest, connected with the gas station. The major challenges are, mainly, races where you need to reach checkpoints and beat the track within time limit.

A different kind of challenges are minor tasks that can be triggered as you explore the game world. They are connected with killing a certain number of zombies, destroying certain objects (e.g. wooden fences) or driving at high speed. Each challenge has a time limit, but even if you fail your task, you will be able to launch it again in the future.

Remember - Regardless of the task, the reward is usually experience points added to Driver skill tree. Depending on the difficulty level and the complexity of your challenge, you can earn from several hundred to several thousand experience points.
