Assassin's Creed Origins file size leaked

If you are going to download a digital copy of Assassin's Creed Origins, prepare for a pretty weighty download, at least if you play on Xbox One. But we doubt that the versions for other platforms will be much different.

Wondering how much a large portion of ancient Egypt weighs in gigabytes? According to Microsoft Store, it’s about 42.3 GB – that’s the approximate download size of Assassin’s Creed Origins on Xbox One. Of course, the size may vary depending on the selected platform, but that’s still quite a lot, especially if you are going to download a digital copy. Let’s hope that Ubisoft will enable pre-loading the game prior to its release on October 27, 2017.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is going to offer a pretty big open world, consisting of locations like Memphis, Alexandria, the Sand Sea, and the Giza Plateau. That, plus lots of cut-scenes and story-related content surely make for a big game. Recently we’ve also learned about the so-called Discovery Mode, which is going to offer players a chance to explore ancient Egypt combat-free and learn some historical facts about topics such as the Great Pyramids, the life of Cleopatra, mummification, etc. That one, however, is not going to be available at launch, but will be added as a free update some time in early 2018.
