Valve Announces the Steam Awards 2018 Gala

Valve is preparing a special announcement gala for the results of Steam Awards 2018.

As you may remember, during the Winter Sale on Steam you had the opportunity to vote for your favorites game for the Steam Awards 2018, which are mostly humorous distinctions awarded by Valve users. This vote ended more than a month ago, but the results have yet to be announced. This may be due to the fact that Steam employees have prepared something special – the first Steam Awards gala in history. You will be able to watch it on February 8, at 10:00 AM PT on the Steam.TV website.

Apart from the fact that there will be "special messages from the winners", not much is known about how the gala will look like. It's even hard to say whether the winners will be presented live or whether Valve has recorded the footage earlier and will simply replay it at the show. One thing is certain, though – there will be no shortage of emotions.

Before you sit down to watch the broadcast, it's worth to remind the highlights among the productions nominated in each category. The list includes such productions as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Grand Theft Auto V, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, No Man's Sky, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Odyssey or Hitman 2.

Who’s going to win this year’s Steam Awards?

We would like to remind you that a great New Year sale has launched on Steam to celebrate the new lunar year. Many games and expansions are offered at reduced prices, including Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, Crusader Kings II, Dark Souls III, Far Cry 5 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole. In addition, a number of other attractions were prepared, such as $5 discount on the first $30 (excluding gifts).
