I regret that there are relatively few games that feature more extreme music, especially when it comes to shooters. Metal is particularly well-suited to accompany dynamic, bloody shooting, which was proved by Doom in 2016. Similar music also works great in multiplayer games – until it starts to bother you. But we digress. There is a game, whose creators focused on combining these two worlds.
Metal: Hellsinger is a most unusual creation. We are talking about an FPS, in which we fight to the hectic rhythm of pieces written by Two Feathers (a composer known from Aragami) and with the participation of singers of such bands as Soilwork, System of a Down, Lamb of God, Black Crown Initiate or Arch Enemy. What else do you need? Probably not everyone will like the selection of artists, but the game cannot be denied a great vision and the sheer thrill it provides. If we can fall into the right rhythm, and preferably in a trance.
