What is Chivalry 2 about?
The first installment of Chivalry from 2012 was a breath of fresh air on the ossified gaming market – after all, we don't get the opportunity to replace an M4 rifle with a long sword often, and the modern battlefield for the mud of the Middle Ages. Don't worry, the production of Torn Banner didn't quit shooting completely. The game offers, among others, crossbow. Chivalry 2 expands the idea of the original, adding a few more or less significant novelties. Why should you give this "Battlefield of swords, maces and bows" a chance?
What makes it worth playing?
The sequel increased the scale of battles. Here, up to 64 players can take part in them, who can finally also ride horses. After entering a server, choosing the weapon and class, the knights are assigned to one of the teams and try to complete a set of tasks. As befits a game in the realities of the Middle Ages, there's no lack siege towers, fighting in forests or ransacking settlements. However, the authors didn't focus all of their attention on realism, the best proof of which is the ability to... shoot a corpse from a catapult as a projectile that can deal damage.
The combat system is extremely important in this type game. And here, it shines like a polished armor. In Chivalry 2, the creators managed to do something amazing – they developed more ways to perform cuts and thrusts, giving us more control while simplifying the control scheme. You can see the devs really invested a lot of time to polish it.
The sequel can be enjoyed, in terms of design of location and soldiers. All thanks to the advanced graphics design. However, some people may be put off by the extensive brutality.
