What's Hitman Trilogy about?
About exactly the same thing as the previous trilogy and every other big Hitman game. The player becomes the bald killer known as Agent 47 and carries out missions to eliminate specific targets. The less noise he makes, the better score he gets. The formula has been repeated for years, but it does not get boring. Why is that? You will find the answers below.
What makes it worth playing?
The main strength of Hitman are primarily brilliantly designed, often multi-level locations and the freedom that the player has when looking for ways to eliminate more people from the list. Let's start with the maps. These are huge. Sometimes you just don't see it at first glance. During a fashion show in Paris, for example, we can move not only in the area designated for guests, but also get above the walkway where the maintenance bridges are located, go behind the scenes, or take a stroll in the garden. Another example is the picturesque town from the second mission in part one. Below the street level – with shops, a villa that's an important point on the map, a church and a beach – there's a whole complex of underground laboratories awaiting players. Despite the extensive location design, each of them is refined down to the smallest details. Really makes you want to explore the ins and outs! In order to get access to new areas of a given map, you often have to wear a specific outfit. This element of the game is characteristic of the entire series and has been present in it from the very beginning.
Appropriate outfits often open the way to the target. The game promotes a quiet approach (with a good mission score). It's best not to act in a high-profile manner. The iconic garrot, silencer and a syringe with poison will help in this. Each location offers a many different routes and ways to achieve your mission objectives. The most interesting and satisfying seem to be those in which the player orchestrates an accident, triggering an entire chain of events. Sometimes there is a narrow window for this, only a single chance. If it doesn't work, try something else. There will certainly be plenty of opportunities.
The Hitman Trilogy consists of Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3.
