What's Firewatch about?
How many times did you want to leave everything and go to the Appalachia? Firewatch will take you to a huge forest somewhere in Wyoming. A beautiful mountainous landscape awaits there. The game is a walking simulator, but with a few fresh ideas. Henry, the main character, is heading into the great outdoors to escape his problems. To achieve this, he takes up the job of a fire lookout, whose main task is spotting emerging fires.
What makes it worth playing?
It's very easy to convince fans of the walking sim genre to check out Firewatch. This is simply one of the most successful adventure games in its genre ever. Its best features include the engrossing atmosphere and the visuals. The story is also quite good. There is an idyllic scene at the beginning, but the writers can also surprise us with heavier stuff. Regardless, the fantastic dialogues are probably the mainstay for many, although they're carried out over the radio. "Newbies" may be encouraged by a linear campaign, which nullifies the prospect of aimlessly wandering through the forest for hours ? the game is generally very short. You only need 4-6 hours to complete it.
