Call of Duty: Warzone 2

CALL OF DUTY: WARZONE 2 IN A NUTSHELL

  1. Developer: Raven Software, Infinity Ward
  2. Publisher: Activision Blizzard
  3. Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne, PS5, XSX
  4. Release date: November 16, 2022

Late last year, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 saw the light of day. The prequel was the first full-blooded CoD distributed in the free-to-play model. The 2020 game is built on the foundations of the excellent CoD: Modern Warfare. The sequel complements the universe known from CoD: Modern Warfare II.

The second installment is very similar to the original. The main gameplay mode is still battle royale. However, the sequel brings a handful of novelties. The most significant one is a completely new map. Al Mazrah, as it is called, takes us to a huge desert area. Within it, we will find a whole lot of vehicles and modern weapons. There are also NPCs on the map. They will remain neutral until we attack them.

An indispensable mechanic of any battle royale game is incremental limiting of the battlefield. With this and permanent death, a single game is not too long. However, the creators from Raven Software studio introduced some changes to the well-known rules. The action zone can be broken up from one large area into three smaller ones, which will only come together again at the end of the match. It's hardly a revolution. It's more of an evolution, but the direction is definitely right.

Items can not only be found, but also purchased in stores. As long as they are not sold out. In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, some of the equipment is limited – you will probably have to fight for the opportunity to buy weapons with other players more than once. Another way to get loot is to go to the Gulag. In order to take the treasures and return to the large map, it will be necessary to defeat the arena guard controlled by the AI, or win a clash with live players.

Warzone 2 is a relatively new production, but it has already received a major update. It introduced another, an even larger map – the Japanese island of Ashika. In addition, the Resuregence mode known from part one has been brought into the game. There were also new weapons and a vehicle – a jet ski.
