Mobile games are becoming increasingly serious. Not only that – it also becomes a sizable part of the gaming biz. And though you might have not expected the iconic Doom to be the next big mobile release – there you have it. Is that risky? Is it just Archero reskin? Anyway, all of you guys do have phones, so check out Mighty Doom for yourself.
Game of the year contender?
Personally, I can't comprehend why they didn't go for something like Alien Shooter. Mighty Doom is colorful and motley, clearly aimed at a younger audience, and the veterans might ask if it still is Doom at all. Indeed, it has objectively little to do with the classics. We control the Doom Slayer, who shoots when we stand still. We draw enhancements, switch between known types of weapons and execute stunned opponents. In all this, we try not to die, otherwise we start the fun all over again.
