Batman: Arkham Knight, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 2015
  1. Developers: Rocksteady Studios
  2. Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne
  3. Release date: June 25, 2015

The Arkham series by Rocksteady Studios is one of the best things in games when it comes to adaptations of comic books. You can have a few complaints, but there's no denying that this series has a great atmosphere, well-portrayed characters, and brilliant artistic direction. All these things make hanging out in Arkham a pure pleasure.

While Batman: Arkham Asylum is not entirely an open-world game, the subsequent parts have definitely gone in that direction. And they worked very well. In this respect, the latest installment of the series, Batman: Arkham Knight, is particularly captivating. The phenomenal Batmobile really made a difference here, adding diversity to side activities and making exploration simply more interesting. So, this world isn't too big, but it's filled with pure gameplay content, which makes it hard not to feel more genuinely engaged.
