NEBUCHADNEZZAR IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Developers: Nepos Games
  2. Release date: 2020

We continue our journey through the most promising urban builders in 2020 and move further back in history. Welcome to Mesopotamia. The work of Nepos Games will show us how the first civilization was born in the valley of the Euphrates and the Tigris, starting from the time of ancient Sumer to the fall of the great Babylon. It is also a production that refers not only the history of the world, but also of the genre, drawing inspiration from classics such as the Pharaoh or Caesar series.

DEVELOPERS OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR ABOUT THEIR GAME:

Nebuchadnezzar is a classic city builder game taking place in ancient Mesopotamia - land rich with history and culture, yet overlooked in the game industry. We were inspired by genre classics, evolving its core mechanics and adding new ones. To build monuments was always the highlight of those classics and we loved to build it. But we wanted to have a greater control over its appearance so in Nebuchadnezzar player uses in-game construction set to build his unique monument from the scratch to the final design. With full mod support - we are looking forward to your creations.

Josef Hájícek, Nepos Games

Gameplay in Nebuchadnezzar is carried out in an isometric perspective, in which we see the map and designate subsequent areas for construction. The key is to build optimal production chains so that all our residents receive the goods they need. Here, the extensive logistics system enters the fray, which is not limited to the construction of a network of roads, but also allows to interfere with the ways in which workers and carriers move. To simplify the management of the complex mechanism that will eventually become our city, the authors provide a set of special views focused on filtering out specific information.

History buffs will appreciate the fact that the role-playing campaign show the main events in an era that is almost completely ignored in computer games. And the tried and tested formula of gameplay allows us to hope for solid entertainment.
