Persona 5 Royal in a nutshell

It's the expanded edition of the fifth installment in the Persona series, appreciated by fans of the of Japanese role-playing games. Persona 5 Royal is developed for the creators of the prototype, Atlus Studio, who have prepared enough fresh content to attract the devotees and veterans that have already completed the original Persona. Unfortunately, the saves from that version will not be compatible with the Royal Edition – to get access to the new content, you will have to go through the game again.

What's new?

The mainstay is an extra semester of school life filled with new challenges, interactions, and lessons. The game's plot, by contrast, will be expanded by Kasumi Yoshizawa, a red-haired girl who will go to high school around the same time as the game's main character, and will be able to join a group of Phantom Thieves of Hearts. The game will also offer new dungeons, personas, opponents, and treasures.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

To be perfectly honest, I'm not waiting for the new version of Persona 5. I want to play it, but I'd much prefer doing it on the Switch. This series is perfect for handheld – remember the Persona 4 Gold on Vita? If so, you know what I mean. The release of the Royal edition mainly makes me happy because I expect it to be the last step before a port is announced. Fingers crossed.
