Persona 5: The Royal is a new version of the popular and award-winning jRPG production, which debuted on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Persona 5 was the next installment in the series, which was conceived back in the 1990s as a spin-off to the Shin Megami Tensei series, which now includes dozens of games for many different hardware platforms. The producer of all of them is invariably the Japanese studio Atlus, which has been owned by Sega since 2013.
