Most likely, Pentiment won't make it to mainstream, even if it is a production by Obsidian Entertainment (Pillars of Eternity, South Park: The Stick of Truth) Nevertheless, during this year's Games Showcase, the spectators were enchanted with the game, and immediately Pentiment received a special place on release date calendars. This is thanks to not only the unique visuals but also the story and theme. When it comes to visuals, we have graphics inspired by medieval books and their illustrations. This may be a turn-off for some, but we still recommend trying it out, e.g. through Game Pass.
In Pentiment, the story revolves around a certain Andreas Maler - a talented artist who is forced to solve a mystery involving some dead bodies. This won't be a quick case, as the plot encompasses as many as 25 years of story. During that time, our protagonist will interact with representatives of commoners, high-born, craftsmen or scholars all in the realities of 16th-century Europe. Multiple decisions and consequences stemming from them, intriguing plot, casual gameplay, and unique audiovisuals - all this you'll find in Pentiment.
