A Year to Remember? The Best Upcoming Games of 2020

With releases of such magnitude as Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us 2, or the Remake of Final Fantasy VII, 2020 may become one of the memorable years in gaming. We list 12 games we look forward to the most.

Table of Contents

Dying Light 2 – the city of zombies

Why? Sequel to one of the best zombie games ever.

  1. Release date: 2020
  2. Genre: action
  3. Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE

Next year, Techland will celebrate their twentieth anniversary, crowned by the highly anticipated sequel to the excellent Dying Light – an FPP action game, in which we tried to survive in the zombie-infested city of Harran using our parkour skills and a range of melee weapons and fire arms.

The sequel will connect the freedom of movement in the urban jungle hailing from Mirror's Edge, with survival featuring zombies. From the sunny city inspired by Rio de Janeiro, we move fifteen years ahead, to an undefined European metropolis roughly four times the size of Harran. The plot will force us to walk thin lines between factions having different goals and ideologies that will offer you many choices that will not only affect the story, but also shape the city.

The game won't be short on zombies, of course, but now, we'll have to deal with an even greater threat – hostile people – much more often. It will also be prettier and more diverse (the number of parkour moves has doubled). There will also be a coop for four players. The biggest Polish game of 2020 is no doubt Cyberpunk 2077, but Dying Light 2 has the potential to be one of that year's dark horses.

In games, he primarily looks for stories, emotions, and immersion that no other medium can provide - hence, among his favorite titles, are games focusing on narration. Believes that NieR: Automata is the best game ever made.
