Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – yellow subtitles always promise an "epic" introduction

The beginning of The Force Unleashed is a great scenario for a movie.
  1. Developer: Krome Studios
  2. Year: 2008
  3. Platforms: PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii

Is there a more epic beginning than the yellow credits announcing the Star Wars storyline to the sound of John Williams' music? And what if you add to that star destroyers, the Empire's fleet landing on the Wookiee planet Kashyyyk, and the opportunity to take on the role of Darth Vader himself from the very beginning of the game? Wielding a lightsaber and the Force, clenching throats from a distance, we traverse the nooks and crannies of Kashyyyk in search of Jedi knight Kento Mark.

Regardless of one's sympathies for the conflicting sides in the saga, we must, willy-nilly, come to terms with the dark side and decimate the Wookiees along the way. The encounter with the Jedi knight ends in his defeat, but Vader unexpectedly confronts a several-year-old boy – Mark's son. Seeing the little one seize the sword using the Force, the black-helmeted lord massacres his entourage, saving the boy's life, and kidnaps him. It's a shame we didn't get to see this story in one of the movies, because it's material for an intriguing and epic story, right from the start.
