PlayStation 5 will be released in 2020, but we want to have a flight of fancy about the titles we'd like to play on the upcoming console. Here's our list of potential hits for Sony's machine.

Chances of a PS5 release: very high
Chances of a release on other platforms: none
The creators of the Gran Turismo series, Polyphony Digital, went for a gambit, and instead of preparing a full, seventh part of the series for PlayStation 4, released Gran Turismo Sport. The spin-off was set to be played over the network and offered much fewer cars than usual, while heavily limiting the single player mode. The move turned out a success, and the game coped quite well in the market, although some players voiced their disappointment. They still expect a full-fledged, "big seven" which, however, most likely will not be released earlier than PlayStation 5.
The perfect "seven" would be a combination of the best qualities of previous installments and the online capabilities of GT Sport. We'd certainly like to go back to the hundreds of cars available and the giant career mode in which we'd lose ourselves for hours. A thoughtful network module would be a great addition to this, encouraging civil driving, and just being a lot of fun, regardless of our skill.
This, however, is not enough. The team at Polyphony can no longer ignore the fact that the driving model of the PlayStation's flagship racing series is lagging behind the competitor Forza, and it finally needs to be refined. The advent of next generation is also a good occasion to revamp the visuals, which currently is pretty inconsistent, and can be as impressive as embarrassing.
We'd also like to play: Motorstorm 4
Shutting down Sony's Evolution Studios was a big blow to fans of more arcade racers. This made the return of Motorstorm an unlikely perspective, but we still hope the series wasn't buried entirely. There's just too few games of this type on the market. Games focused on reckless struggle with other racers, offering entertaining, picturesque, and branching tracks, very different classes of cars.
