Although the third installment of the Seiken Densetsu series, which debuted on the SNES in 1995, met with a very good reception in Japan, Square was reluctant to release it in the West. Western fans of the previous two games had to wait until 2019 – that's when the Collection of Mana bundle appeared in Europe and North America, containing the first three parts of the saga, including Trials of Mana – for the first time in English. However, patience is a virtue – in April, the stores will receive a full-fledged remake of this game.
The updated version will offer a modern, three-dimensional visual environment, voice-over, and a new soundtrack. Game mechanics will also be improved – at this time, we will explore the world seen from the third-person perspective. What doesn't change, though, are the pivotal assumptions of the plot – the fates of six, independent heroes become intertwined, as they're trying to save the world from powerful monsters.
