How to start the Green and Pleasant Land quest?
The Green and Pleasant Land mission activates automatically after completing the Sword in Hand mission. During the conversation, Arthur will order you to investigate the case of the Bailey and Fletcher families, who accuse each other of setting a fire in the nearby forest.
Both clans reside to the north-east of Albion.
Talk to the Fletcher family, who are hunters. Edward Fletcher will tell you his version of the story.
Then go to the Bailey family, whose members are woodworking enthusiasts. Talking to Harold will also not give you clear answers on the matter.
You can solve the Green and Pleasant Land quest in several ways. In general, you can return to Arthur at any time to present your opinion or make an accusation (even if unfounded). On this page, however, we will present you the full method for completing the quest.
How to obtain clues for the fire investigation?
Go to the fire site (the mission indicator will show you the way). Examine the carcass of a mutated deer and the mysterious blood marks on the ground. Follow the blood traces.
At the end of the bloody trail, you will find a used first aid kit. A moment later, Timmy Bailey will approach you. He will tell you that on the day of the fire he saw an injured person running away to a nearby shed.
Explore the small building. Inside you will find a letter signed by Edward Fletcher. It may constitute evidence in the case, but its authenticity should be verified first.
Return to the Fletcher tree house. On the counter in the center of the platform, you will find a letter that you can examine. Edward's handwriting doesn't match the document found earlier, which clearly suggests that the document is a fake.
How to find the perpetrator of the fire?
Return to the Bailey family home and find Ryan. You will recognize him by his limp.
Ask him about the real reason he got hurt. You can force him to confess if you have enough charisma or perception. Ryan will tell you that the fire was just an accident and the whole plan to frame the Fletchers was just Timmy's childish prank.
After Ryan tells you the truth, return to Camelot and report to Arthur. During the conversation, you can condemn the actions of the Bailey brothers or reveal the truth and ask for understanding. After reporting your findings, the mission will end.
