Fallout London: The Placebo Effect
The Placebo Effect quest is part of the main plot of Fallout London. From this guide page you will learn how to get to the museum and where to look for the mysterious Mr. X.
During The Placebo Effect mission, you will fight your way through a dangerous museum to meet the mysterious Mr. X. On this page of the guide, we will tell you how to defeat dangerous robots and the minions of the Angel faction.
How to get to the museum?
The Placebo Effect mission will begin immediately after completing All to Pot and escaping from prison. Head towards the north-west edge of Westminster. There, you'll find the entrance to the museum, where Mr X will be waiting.
The entrance to the building is guarded by dangerous robots. Defeat them, then go inside.
How to find Mr. X?
In the museum, your objective will be to get to the top floor. The interior is filled with aggressive robots. Carefully climb higher and higher. Some staircases will be partially collapsed. In this case, look for the stairs on the opposite side of the floor. Also, watch out for occasional holes in the floor.
Some parts of the museum are heavily irradiated. Don't stay there for too long.
On the first floor, you will encounter a legendary enemy: the Angel's Protectron. It is quite durable and its laser deals quite a bit of damage. Hide behind covers and try to outmaneuver the slow enemy.
Next to the room with rockets, you will find a small technical room with a terminal. With its help, you can change the personality of the robots, which should pacify the remaining Protectrons.
You will open the door on the top floor using the key you received from the mysterious Angel envoy during the previous mission. Once you go through the door, you'll have to face a whole squad of Angel's minions. Don't shoot scientists - they are harmless.
Next to the laboratory, you will find a door with an intercom. Talk to Mr. X, then go inside. The man will explain to you the intricacies of the current balance of power in London. He will also task you with planting a bomb at the upcoming tournament. The attack is aimed at killing Mr. Smythe.
Once the conversation is over, The Placebo Effect mission will end.
