Fallout London: Living on a Thin Line
Living on a Thin Line is a main thread mission in the Camelot faction. From this page of the guide you will learn how to carry out an inspection at the outpost and how to take back a strategic point from the hands of bandits.
Living on a Thin Line will require you to recapture a strategic point in post-apocalyptic London. But first, you'll have to pull Camelot's disorganized forces back together. On this page of the guide you will learn how to do it.
How to get the outpost in order?
You will start the Living on a Thin Line mission right after completing the previous mission, Every Breath You Take. Merlin will task you with investigating the situation at the Camelot outpost, north of the headquarters.
Once you get there, talk to Gawain. The knight will tell you that she needs help preparing the outpost for action. She will also give you a written report, which you should read.
A certain branch of this quest is, in our experience, heavily glitched. Each time we confirmed our willingness to help Gawain rebuild the outpost, the game kicked us out to desktop. For this reason, below we present you with an alternative way to complete this quest.
Complete the optional mission objective and talk to the soldiers marked on the map. After gathering information from them on the condition of the outpost, return to Gawain.
Tell her that you spoke with her men (third dialogue option). Tell her she's wrong and then convince her that you should immediately attack the bandits.
Speak to the subordinates again and let them know that the unit is preparing to attack. Then, go to the meeting point.
How to defeat bandits?
Upon arrival, confirm your readiness to Gawain. The knight will offer you two attack options: a frontal attack or a gradual and silent takeover of subsequent parts of the building. We opted for the second option.
You will encounter the first wave of enemies in front of the factory. Defeat them and go inside.
Make your way through the factory's next rooms alongside your squad. Be careful: there are many enemies and they can easily surround you. We recommend you to stay back. Be equally careful not to accidentally hurt any of your allies.
Once you reach the room with the terminal, use it to open the gate.
After clearing the entire factory of enemies, meet Gawain and her men outside. Talk to Gawain, then return to Camelot. After reporting your actions, the mission will end.
