During The Dolorous Strike quest you will investigate the mysterious attack on the Charring Cross station and a pair of rebellious knights. We explain where to look for clues in the tunnels, where to find the two knights, and how to free the family kidnapped by the Fifth Column.

Where to look for clues at the Charring Cross station?

The Dolorous Strike quest will start immediately after completing Living on a Thin Line. Before heading to the north bank of the Thames, you may want to ask Merlin and Percival for their opinions on the subject.

Starting The Dolorous Strike mission will ultimately lock you out of the opportunity to join the Angels faction. From this point on until the end of the game, you will be bound to Camelot.

After reaching the destroyed station, approach the wounded soldier and ask him about the details of the incident. Their statements will be chaotic, but eventually you will learn that the perpetrators most likely fled deeper into the tunnels.

Go through the gates and head to the tunnels beneath the city. They're pretty linear, so just keep heading towards the mission marker.

In the dungeons you will encounter mutated monsters and feral ghouls. At the end of the tunnel there is also a quite tough enemy waiting for you: a mutated badger. Defeat him and enter the elevator at the end of the room.

The elevator ride takes quite some time, so be patient. Once you get out, you'll find Tristan, who's wounded, and Iseult, who's accompanying him. The knights will admit that it was them who planted the explosives at the station. They were forced to do so by the Fifth Column, which kidnapped Tristan's family. Your task will now be to rescue the prisoners from the hands of the enemy faction.

How to free Tristan's family?

The Fifth Column outpost is located next to the St. Anne's Church, north of where the knights are hiding. On the way there, we encountered a lot of enemies, so be careful.

The entrance to the station is guarded by a man named Mark. You can try to convince him to let you in or start shooting right away.

Go to a man named Tucker. The leader won't be very keen to talk. It will quickly turn into a regular fight.

Defeat all enemies, then free Tristan's family from the cage. Before returning, collect the letter from the spy, which you'll find in the open chest.

Return to Tristan and tell him his family has been released. The knight will present you with a written apology and a resignation letter. Take them and return to Camelot.

Sit at the round table and report to Arthur. The mission will come to an end.
