Farming Simulator 25: Harvesting
Harvesting in Farming Simulator 25 allows you to get and sell the crops you've grown with hard work. On this page of the guide we have described how to harvest.
Last update:
Harvesting is an activity that is carried out throughout the entire process of growing plants in Farming Simulator 25. It involves gathering crops for later use or sale. On this page of the guide we describe how to harvest crops.
How to harvest crops?
Before starting the harvest, you should prepare two machines - a harvester and a tractor with a trailer. The harvesting is done using with a harvester. When the harvester is full, you can drive up to the trailer, extend the pipe and empty the contents of the harvester into the trailer. If the field is close to your farm, you can also ignore the trailer and empty the harvester directly into the silo. If you intend to pull the trailer onto the field with a tractor, make sure it is equipped with narrow wheels - otherwise, you will destroy the crops.
Avoid harvesting in the rain as this reduces the amount of crops ultimately harvested. When harvesting grains, remember to activate the straw cutting function. This way, straw will be thrown behind the harvester so that you can collect it later. If you have enabled the seasonal calendar, remember to harvest your crops before the season ends, otherwise they will wither.
Headers and specialized harvesters
Default harvesters are capable of harvesting most crops in the game. Occasionally, you may have to swap the header, which is the front part of the harvester. Headers can be purchased in the store. Thus, grains are the perfect crops at the beginning of the game. Other crops, such as potatoes, beets and spinach, require completely exclusive harvesters that are only able to harvest one type of crop (the harvester shown in the image above is, for example, the only way to harvest spinach and is used only for harvesting spinach). Although they function identically to default harvesters, they entail a high expense. Pay attention to the icons under the machine description in the store, so that you know what crops you can harvest with a specific machine.
