Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Fractured Space

A multiplayer-oriented action game set in space, developed by the creators of Strike Suit Zero series, Edge Case Games Studio. Its story is set in the distant future, in which humanity has colonized many foreign star systems. The game doesn’t offer much of a backstory though, focusing on online skirmishes for teams of up to five players. Each players takes control of a powerful ship belonging to one of several classes, each equipped with a different set of on-board system and weaponry.
Toy Odyssey: The Lost and Found

In Toy Odyssey: The Lost and Found we step into the shoes of an animated toy hero named Brand, who is actively fighting with the forces of darkness that want to take control over his owner. To defeat evil, our protagonist has to uncover the secrets of the family home and discover some facts about his own past.
Destiny: The Collection

A complete edition of the science-fiction first-person shooter with MMO and RPG features. The title was developed by the creators of the Halo series, Bungie Software. Destiny: The Collection contains the basic version of the game that was released in September 2014 and four large DLC expansions: The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King and Rise of Iron.

Another major expansion to the multiplayer FPS by Bungie Software, published in autumn 2014. Destiny: Rise of Iron is the first expansion available exclusively for the 8th generation of consoles and it requires the previous extension, called The Taken King, to work. The plot revolves around a breach in the wall, located on the southern border of Old Russia, which let hordes of fallen mutants get into the Golden Age graves, filled with valuable artifacts.
Seraph

Set in a science fiction setting, a dynamic action game developed by the independent studio Dreadbit. In Seraph the player takes control of the titular heroine – an angel kept in a high-security, futuristic prison owned by demons. While trying to escape, the protagonist with supernatural skills faces a variety of dangers and devilish creatures. The action is seen from a side-view and consists of fighting hordes of enemies.
BioShock 2 Remastered

A remastered version of the second installment of the popular BioShock series that was initially released in 2010 for PC and the 7th-generation consoles. In the game, we are once again taken to the underwater city of Rapture, featured in the original BioShock, and the gameplay is focused on exploration, solving puzzles, and fighting encountered hostiles.

The action of Filthy Lucre takes place in a slightly exaggerated version of contemporary London. In the game, you assume the role of a thug who works for one of the criminal underworld’s bosses. When he is robbed of almost all of his savings, your job is to get them back.
Dragon Bros

A shoot'em up game developed by the independent developer Space Lizard Studio. In the game, the player assumes control of young dragons tasked with fighting an army of hostile robots called Mechaliches, who were able to conquer the protagonists' home planet and kidnap their mother. During the game, the character constantly moves rightwards, eliminates hordes of enemies, and avoids the ever-present obstacles.

A strategy shooter game that supports virtual reality sets. The game was developed by RocketWerkz, a studio founded by Dean “Rocket” Hall – the creator of the famous survival game DayZ. Out of Ammo takes place during an undefined modern conflict. The player assumes the role of a commander who must defend a base from the incoming enemy. The game combines the mechanics of a first-person shooter with a tower defense game.
Feral Rites

The player sets out on an adventure in a fantasy world, and plays the role of the son of the chieftain of one of the most powerful local tribes. When the leader is assassinated, a different group takes care of the child, who then returns to his home years later to avenge his father’s death.
BioShock: The Collection

A special bundle that includes the revamped editions of three installments in the bestselling BioShock series, designed by 2K Games company for the eighth generation consoles. Each game in the trilogy, which is often described as the spiritual successor to the cult System Shock, is set in different settings and features different main characters.
BioShock Remastered

A remastered edition of a popular FPS with RPG elements, originally released in 2007 on PC and Xbox 360; the PlayStation 3 version came out a year later. In case of the PC version, BioShock Remastered is available as a stand-alone product, but the game is part of BioShock: The Collection as well. The largest change introduced since the original release lies in the improved visuals, now supporting 4K resolution and using updated textures.
RIVE

A two-dimensional platformer game inspired by the classic, side-scroll representatives of the genre. It was created by Two Tribes – a Dutch developer popular mainly for the arcade-logic Toki Tori series. RIVE takes the player to an unspecified region of the galaxy, where they face an army of hostile robots, having taken control over a modern-day combat drone.

A shooter from Arena FPS genre developed by the German studio Reakktor Media and inspired by FPP shooters from the 90s. The story of TOXIKK takes place in the 22nd century, when mega-corporations and cartels took over the Earth after a global energy crisis. Two of such companies play major role in the game: EXOCOM and DRAYOS, competing for EDEN – a recently discovered mineral that can remedy the energy problems of the world.
Halo 5: Forge

A free tool for the owners of the PC edition of Halo 5: Guardians, acting both as map editor and a way to play fan made levels. Initially, it has been the work of the team at 343 Industries and was supposed to be a PC version of the popular Forge mode, known from the main entries in the Halo series. Additionally, the players could create their own maps or game modes, than use them in Halo 5 on consoles.
How to Survive 2

A sequel to the 2013 survival horror game How to Survive. The game, developed by Eko Software, is set in New Orleans, where the virus known from the first installment has turned people into zombies. The survivors have to fight for their lives and form teams in order to search for water, shelter, and useful items. The mechanics remained mostly the same, and the game places emphasis on the crafting system and character skill trees.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Salvation

The last, fourth DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, released in November 2015. The expansion called Salvation is a part of the season pass, and similarly to the previous add-ons, it is available only for PC and 8th-generation consoles. As always, the expansion includes four new multiplayer maps: Citadel takes place in a medieval castle. Micro is a wacky map, featuring a picnic table, with the players taking control of miniaturized soldiers.

A brutal beat'em up game offering old-school, pixel-art visuals and paying a tribute to the classics of the genre. The game is set in the former Soviet Union in the 80s. The protagonist of the game is a former boxer, now a wrongly convicted drug addict. Having escaped the prison, he embarks on a bloody quest for vengeance. The protagonist traverses subsequent locations and eliminates the enemies he encounters with his fists or various items.
ARK: Scorched Earth

A classic platformer game set in a science-fiction world and created by Garage 227 - an independent Brazilian developer. Shiny is set on the fictional planet Aurora, which is heading towards a collision with its sun. The player assumes the role of a robot called Kramer 227, which is one of the machines left behind by the humans. The protagonist does not accept his fate, instead, he even wishes to help other robots in leaving the planet before it gets too late.
NeuroVoider

A top-down roguelike twin-stick shooter, created by independent developer Flying Oak Games. NeuroVoider lets you play as one of the four people who survived the annihilation of mankind at the hands of an army of robots. Gameplay is about making your way through 2D game levels and shooting all enemies on sight. You fight against numerous robotic soldiers – who, incidentally, are procedurally generated – but from time to time you also stand against powerful bosses.
