Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. Three Fourths Home tells the story of a young woman named Kelly who is currently on her way to her family home in Nebraska after a years’ absence. We accompany the woman during conversations with her parents and her younger brother, learning more about the complicated relationship she has with them. The game cannot be easily assigned a genre, as we are given a mix of an adventure game and a visual novel.

The plot of Antariksha Sanchar (known also as Transmissions in Space) is set in the early 1920s in South India. You play as a genius mathematician, who wants to discover the secrets of the outer space and conduct research on space exploration. As expected of the game representing such a genre, it focuses mostly on exploration and solving various logic puzzles.

An unusual adventure game, in which you play as a personal photographer of a beginning pop idol dreaming about a show-business career. Sonicomi was developed by Japanese company Nitroplus, specializing in visual novels. They are also known as the creators of e.g. Steins;Gate and Guilty Crown. The protagonist, Super Sonico, is the developer's mascot and has her own anime and comic book series, and appears on a multitude of gadgets.

We are introduced to a grim version of 2113, in which a complex computer system called Sybil monitors the actions, thoughts, and emotional state of the inhabitants, creating a criminal behavior estimate for every citizen.

Home is Where One Starts… tells a story of a teenage girl who leaves her home for school early in the morning, but misses her bus.

Building your own worlds is one of the mainstays of the game. They can be placed in a number of settings and conventions: from Wild West, through forests and farms, and up to medieval castles and arenas inspired by Feudal Japan. The player can modify the topography, as well as build objects and items.
