Simulation games. These titles put emphasis on simulating authentic (or fictional) actions in the most realistic manner possible. They allow the player e.g. to control civil (digger, crane, bus) or military vehicles (plane, tank, warship). The game is a pastiche of the classic title The Oregon Trail which told the story of a group of settlers colonizing America. During the game, the player controls a group of survivors who travel through the USA in an old car. In order to survive, they must gather food and other useful items like medications and fuel.

Construction Simulator 2 takes place in a fictional state in the USA, Westside Plains. In the game we play as an owner of a company that builds roads and buildings. Demolish & Build Company 2017 casts the player in the role of a company owner who both builds and demolishes various structures. Gameplay as such was based on two pillars here - destroying buildings and constructing new ones in their place in order to rent the new buildings.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Kuban

Another installment in the popular series of flight simulators set during the World War II period, developed by 1C Company in collaboration with 777 Studios. Il-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Kuban takes the players to the Eastern Front of the World War II, giving them a chance to participate in the eponymous Battle of Kuban. The game is played over an area of 300 by 400 kilometers. During aerial battles you can pilot such machines as Bf-109 G-4, Yak-7b, IL-2 mod.43 UBT or Spitfire Mk.VB.

Particular missions take place on the oceans all over the world and involve managing the crew and equipment of the ship - all this to prepare the machines in time for a safe take off from the deck and to ensure their safety when they return from each mission.

Each lake has more than a dozen of fishing positions. This allows the player to use various fishing techniques. The game is very realistic thanks to the implementation of Total Cast Control, a system that realistically recreates the behavior of the customizable fishing rod.

In addition to trading, the player can also complete various special tasks like organizing tours and participating in rescue operations.

A sandbox space simulator developed by a lone designer, Damiano Vitulli. The action of NovaVoyager is set in a distant future, when humanity colonizes new planetary systems. Starting out, we receive our first ship and then decide whether we want to pursue a career of a mercenary, a pirate, a pioneer, or a miner. We can also combine all of these to create our own path. The fun takes place in a galaxy that teems with life, recreated in 1:1 scale on the basis of genuine astronomical data.

Eco is a sandbox game developed by Strange Loop Games. The title features an advanced ecosystem simulation. The players' actions have direct impact on the environment and unwise exploitation might lead to the collapse of the whole biome.

Gameplay consists of two layers: simulation and economic.

The game is set in an open world (about 25 square kilometers) and the player is required to search for broken machines and repair them in one of three available workshops. The game features 9 trains falling into 3 categories - steam, electric and diesel. The player maintains the engines using different parts, and one will find over a thousand of them here.

Lionel City Builder 3D: Rise of the Rails takes place in the not so distant future, after the current transport model had crashed. In order to give some life to the cities, a metallurgist named Vin decides to create a new railroad network from scratch. The player helps him with that task.

I Am Bread

Yet another joke simulation game, a genre which, contrary to any logical reasoning, keeps gaining crowds of fans. The hero of this game, developed by an independent team at Bossa Studios, is a slice of bread, and the player’s job is to take it all the way to a toaster. Gameplay mechanics in I Am Bread are pretty complex, the biggest difficulty being controlling all four corners of the toast separately. With these mechanics the “hero” can perform simple moves on any flat surface.
