The last expansion to the well-received game Shovel Knight. Both the add-on and the base game have been developed by Yacht Club Games. The main protagonist of the expansion is the titular King of Cards, who is one of the bosses the player has to fight as the Shovel Knight in the base game. The main protagonist has to prove their rights to the crown by defeating three usurpers from the neighboring lands.

A classic dungeon crawler with a turn-based combat system, developed for the 3DS portable console. The game is the second (after Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth) spin-off of the popular series of Japanese role-playing games developed by Atlus. The protagonists of Persona Q2 are the cast of Persona 5 from 2016. The game utilizes gameplay mechanics and principles of the Etrian Odyssey series.

The title is the culmination of the series, offering the highest number of available character classes, as well as a refined gameplay model, drawing on the experience of the previous parts.

RPG 07 December 2018

The third installment in the turn-based jRPG franchise, developed by Level 5 for Nintendo portable devices. The story takes place in the American town of St. Peanutsburg, where the series' protagonist moves in with his parents. It quickly turns out that the place is also inhabited by Yo-Kai, friendly critters that no one is able to see, save for the protagonist. Using his unique ability, he tries to befriend them and together with them help the other citizens.

An action game with platform game features. The players assume the role of Zangestu – a demon hunter who travels to a castle occupied by a powerful fallen angel. During the game, the players are exploring grim locations and fighting enemies. The game distinguishes itself from other games with the presence of four playable characters.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux is a remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, a game that was released in 2009 for Nintendo DS. Just like the original game, it was developed by Atlus. Developers implemented some audiovisual tweaks and changes (improved facial expressions, dialogues are now fully voiced). User interface and gameplay mechanics were also improved. The game now offers three difficulty levels and the possibility of saving the game anytime we want to.

A classic turn-based Japanese role-playing game developed by Cattle Call in cooperation with the legendary developer Yoshitaka Murayama. The Alliance Alive takes place in a fantasy world that was invaded by an alien civilization called Asmodians centuries ago. A resistance movement, known as the Night Crows, is trying to defeat the Asmodians. During the game the player controls nine characters.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is a complete remake of Radiant Historia, a jRPG game that was released in 2010 on Nintendo DS. The remake has completely new 3D visuals, new soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura, and an additional storyline with new scenarios and characters. Moreover, with game veterans in mind, Atlus created a special option of skipping the bigger part of the story and jumping right into the new content.

A sequel to the action game based on the manga Attack on Titan created by Hajime Isayama. The players once again assume the role of members of Scout Regiment, tasked with defending the walls attacked by the titular Titans. The game features story campaign and cooperation multiplayer mode. The title features nice three-dimensional graphics.

RPG 09 November 2017

A typical representative of the jRPG subgenre. The player is taken to a fantasy world and takes on the role of Eil. The protagonist has to face an evil demon, but he is not on his own - gods known as Grimoa have offered their assistance and several other daredevils join Eil along his path. The player explores diverse locations, completes quests and fights various enemies, gradually improving their combat potential.

Fire Emblem Warriors is a spin-off of the popular jRPG series Fire Emblem that was released on Nintendo Switch. The game that was created by Omega Force and Nintendo is quite different from what we could see in the series' previous installments. Instead of a turn-based tactical RPG, we get a fantasy hack'n'slash that uses the series' characteristic elements and characters, and throwing in only a couple of RPG elements.

The fifth full-fledged installment in a series of classic turn-based jRPGs developed by Atlus for Nintendo's hand-held consoles. The action takes place in the mysterious land of Arcadia. It is inhabited by four races - the game features original interpretations of the typical fantasy races. In terms of gameplay mechanics, it is a first-person dungeon crawler. The player assembles a team of characters representing various classes.

Culdcept Revolt is a turn-based RPG developed by Omiya Soft, which uses elements of card and board games and was released as part of celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Culdcept series. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we play as a boy named Allen. He's a recruit in the Rebel Army that fights to put an end to the tyrannical rule of Count Kraniss. As we play, we take part in turn-based battles that take place on grid-covered maps.

The third version of the second entry in the jRPG series from Level-5, after Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls. Players again take control of Nathan or Katie, who suffered from the attack of a mysterious Yo-kai (supernatural being). The spirit erased memories of heroes and their Yo-kai friends, forcing both characters to once again take the special watch that lets them communicate with those beings and try to find the culprit.

Minecraft has been developed with the intention of unleashing the creativity of players, who can freely change the game's virtual world made from voxels (cubic blocks). The gameplay concentrates on terrain transformations, building structures, crafting items, and creating your own adventures.

A spin-off of the popular RPG series by Capcom, started in 2004. Like in the previous games of the franchise, Monster Hunter Stories focuses on challenging fights against giant monsters, but offers a different approach to the well-known theme. We play as a young boy who sets out on a journey accompanied by the mascot of the series, a Felyne warrior. A one-man-one-cat team travels across a vast open world, performing various tasks and facing local monsters.

Another spin-off in the popular series of dungeon crawlers, Etrian Odyssey, developed by Spike Chunsoft. The player assumes the role of an adventurer, who helps an unfamiliar woman in reaching the roots of the Yggdrasil tree, which is told to hide a gate to the world of gods. The events in Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 are presented from an isometric perspective, and a significant portion of gameplay is about exploration of randomly generated dungeons as well as fighting turn-based battles.

Fortunately, Chup is not alone — he is accompanied by his friends, Mayone and Pepperon. The game utilizes an isometric view and the gameplay focuses on exploration and collecting various items.

The action of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time takes place in a fantastical land of Lotozetasia, while the player assumes the role of a inhabitant of the Ishi village. On his 16th birthday, he discovers that he is an incarnation of a hero who saved the world from annihilation many years ago. Since then, the youngster’s life takes a radical turn, and his further fate is uncertain.

Developed by the one-man studio Locomalito, an updated version of a 2D platformer by Maldita Castilla, published in 2012. The plot draws inspiration from the history and legends of many European countries, mostly Spain. One day, an evil demon uses tears of a young witch to open gates of hell and let different kinds of filth in. The player assumes the role of Don Ramiro – one of the faithful knights in service of Alfonso VI, uniting to travel the lands of Tolomera and bring back peace and order.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a remake of the 1992 Fire Emblem Gaiden, the second game in the famous jRPG series and was never before translated into English. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia takes place in a fantasy world divided between two opposing factions. The game focuses on two childhood friends who, as adults, are fighting for the opposing sides. Their stories intertwine, allowing us to see what happens on both sides of the conflict.

Specter of Torment is a free DLC for the fan-favorite platform game Shovel Knight, developed by Yacht Club Games. This time, we play as a new protagonist, the titular Specter. The expansion takes place before the events of the base game. In terms of gameplay, Specter of Torment is identical to the base game, combining the elements of a 2D platformer, an RPG, and an action-adventure game. Once again, we observe the game from a side perspective.
