Alone in the Dark: Illumination is the sixth major game of the Alone in the Dark series, which began between 1992 and 1995 with the cult trilogy developed by I-Motion. This time, however, a completely new studio - Pure - was chosen to develop a game from the fan-favorite series. The game takes place in a mining town of Lorwich, where four heroes will have to face the forces of evil. Each of them has different abilities and a slightly different gameplay. Edward Carnby's descendant is joined by a Witch, an Engineer, and a Priest. Each of them uses different weapons and powers. The Illumination system is a new gameplay feature that allows the players to create safe areas where the playable characters can heal themselves and deal more damage to the enemies. The game comprises four different campaigns and a fully functional multiplayer mode, where fighting the evil forces with other players is only one of the available options.

We use it to create simple items as well as more complex buildings. During our adventures we will encounter many NPCs, both friendly and hostile.

To begin, the player has to choose one from several different character classes available - each has their own different skills. Then, the time comes to equip the character with a unique set of cards, representing equipment, spells, and helpers. The game offers a real-time experience, and the maps are randomly generated. The player has to avoid deadly traps and deal with different monsters and powerful bosses. One can either compete against other players or cooperate with them in order to complete subsequent challenges, develop the skills of our character, and unlock new cards for one's deck. In contrast to the original game, each death of the player's character is permanent.

The action of the game takes place in 1965 in the Ia Drang Valley, located near the border with Cambodia, where the American government dispatched a powerful military support in order to prevent the unification of this part of the country under a single, communist flag. The gameplay builds on the proprietary “hearts and minds” mechanics – instead of waging an open war, a player has to gain favor with the natives and bring the Vietcong’s inhumane practices to naught. The developers ambitiously wanted to show the reality of the Vietnam War, which, apart from the conventional military operations, featured psychological warfare. The game features mediocre visuals; however, the cross-platform gameplay runs smooth for owners of both PC / Windows and mobile devices.

In the game, we assume the role of an engineer nicknamed Vandal who acts on behalf of the dangerous Unitologist sect who believe the appearance of the Necromorph is a part of a divine plan of annihilating the humanity. When the protagonist realizes the danger she has caused, she begins a race against time to prevent the epidemic from spreading throughout the entire base. As far as gameplay and atmosphere are concerned, the mobile version of Dead Space does not deviate significantly from the original, introducing only the crucial changes stemming from the properties of handheld devices.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus features 3D visuals, which are very high-quality for a 3DS game, both during the actual gameplay and spectacular replays.

To make things worse, there are many obstacles and dangers in space, and they can ruin even the most easy-looking docking. The dangers include asteroids, space pirates, mines, anomalies, and mysterious black monoliths. You dock your ship by drawing a line of varying lengths, which corresponds to the ship's speed. You can also switch the engine on and off. Every action uses one unit of fuel. When you run out of it completely, you only have five seconds to finish the docking, otherwise your ship falls apart.

The game's indisputable advantage is the faithful recreation of the military and political potential of individual countries as well as a number of historical events from the period that have their in-game counterparts.

When compared to its predecessor, MLB 15: The Show offers updated teams and line-ups. All this allows the players to observe completely new situations on the field. Moreover, the player-handling model has been somewhat simplified in order to make the analog stick controls more user-friendly. For the first time in the series’ history, the game features a licensed baseball gear (bats, helmets, apparel, etc.). Thanks to the improved management module players can sign new sponsorship contracts with companies existing in the real world. Additionally, the team management system has been improved, making it easier to acquire and train new players. Developers also implemented into the game the Inside The Show radio broadcast, which is filled with the up-to-date news and comments on the 2015’s league games.

A girl called Ion accidentally wakes up a mechanical warrior named Rodea, asleep since 1000 years before. The warrior comes back to life, but his memory is lost, and his right arm is damaged. Rodea can only remember that he participated in a fierce battle, when he met a girl resembling Ion. They join forces and fight against the empire of Naga, which is approaching the borders of their country. An important part of the gameplay it the ability to fly, which allows the protagonist to quickly move around the virtual world. Like other action games, Rodea: The Sky Soldier features battles of varying difficulty, out of which, of course, the most interesting are the boss battles.

Additionally, one has to clear the path of meteors and occasional bosses - when fighting the latter ones, the player should consider using the numerous available power-ups, e.g. defensive shields and bombs. The game offers nine separate modes, featuring both single and multiplayer experiences (the latter one is designed for up to four players). To top it all, the game features 1080p resolution and runs at stable 60 FPS.

Gameplay in Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is based on the same mechanics as the previous games. We will have to push the icons that appear on the screen in line with the rhythm of the music. Not only our reflexes matter, but also how long our stylus touches the console's touch screen. Some of the sounds require a quick tap, some touching the screen for a longer moment, and some will force us to move the stylus from one side to another. The game offers a couple of game modes, including multiplayer. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest has unique visuals that bring paper cutouts and flash animations to mind.

The player's task is to transform a small outpost into a strong military base capable of defending itself against attacks of an exceptionally powerful enemy. The player constructs buildings and defensive structures, trains soldiers and improves technologies. A continuation to Consortium (2014), developed by Interdimensional Games. This extraordinary mixture of an FPP shooter, an adventure game, and an RPG is set in 2042. The protagonist - agent Bishop Six, gets assigned to a task of rescuing people kept hostage in London's Churchill Tower by Kiril Angelov. The story is non-linear - the player encounters representatives of different factions, and one can build more and less friendly relations with them; during the adventure, the player will even have the opportunity to act against the titular organization who hired them. The non-linear story is followed by diverse gameplay, as the in-game conflicts can be resolved both by force and using diplomatic methods. Exploration is one of the pillars the experience is based on, and this element was improved with special abilities of the protagonist, as he can breathe under water and fall from great heights without taking any damage. Those fond of stealth action will be satisfied with opportunities to use both visual and sound camouflage. All of this is complemented by conversations with NPCs, which can be a source of useful information and clues. Importantly, those who have completed the original game can import their save files here - others can enjoy a summary of the events depicted in the original Consortium.

The story pays tribute to one of the franchise's most iconic installments, Need for Speed: Underground, focusing entirely on illegal street races. The player is taken to the fictional city of Blackridge, controlled by five street-level gangs. The player's task is to defeat subsequent opponents in a series of racing challenges, which come in several variants. As usual, the players receive a massive number of licensed cars - divided into five classes here, each having their own garage, performance and visual upgrade counterparts. Although the game is free-to-play, the player's car runs out of fuel relatively fast, which is the main limitation the game brings.
